The Blue Cave (Modra špilja)

A small limestone sea cave that glows a vivid blue when the midday sun enters through an underwater opening.

The Blue Cave lies in a small cove on the eastern side of Biševo. Its main entrance was widened in the late 19th century so that boats could enter, and it has drawn visitors ever since.

The magic comes from below: sunlight passes through a submerged opening, reflects off the white limestone floor and lights the water from within. Objects in the water seem to glow silver.
